Robert S. Raymar practices in complex commercial litigation, employment litigation, trust and estate litigation, family law, trademark, copyright and intellectual property rights matters, administrative law, governmental affairs and regulations, environmental law, and tort law.

Mr. Raymar was a Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, and an Editor of the Law Journal at Yale Law School. He was law clerk to Judge Leonard I. Garth of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He subsequently served as Assistant Legal Counsel to the Governor of New Jersey, as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey in the Division of Criminal Justice, and as a member of the New Jersey Executive Commission on Ethical Standards.

Mr. Raymar was a Visiting Lecturer at Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs, and served on the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He coached one of Princeton University’s Intercollegiate Mock Trial Teams. Mr. Raymar was a New Jersey Delegate to several Democratic National Conventions. He was a member of the National Executive Committee of the Yale Law School Association, and was twice President of the Yale Law School Association of New Jersey. Mr. Raymar was a member of the National Governing Council of the American Jewish Congress, and Chair of its Constitution Committee. He was Chair of the Board of Directors of the Somerset Hills YMCA, was a member of the YMCA Board, and was Chair of its Community Advisory Board. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for American Progress Action Fund. He is a member of the Board of Directors of The Leatherback (Turtle) Trust, Inc., and is its intellectual property counsel and a member of its Audit Committee. He is a member of the Boards of Directors of One Fair Wage Action, and of the Advisory Council for the Alliance for Justice, Building The Bench Initiative.

Mr. Raymar is a member of the Bars of New Jersey, New York, of the federal trial and appellate courts in both states, and of the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Raymar has been selected for inclusion in New Jersey Super Lawyers for 2005-2006 and 2011-2022.
