Joel D. Siegal

Joel D. Siegal graduated from the University of Pennsylvania (1958) and Yale University School of Law (1961). In 1965 he received a Masters Degree in International Relations from the University of Stockholm, Sweden.

Mr. Siegal served as Law Secretary to the Honorable Arthur S. Lane, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey from 1961-62, and to the Honorable Phillip Forman, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit from 1963-64. Mr. Siegal was a member of the Working Group of the Subcommittee on Commercial Litigation of the New Jersey Supreme Court's Committee on Civil Case Management and Procedure. He was a participant in the Media/Bench/Bar
Dialogue "The Big Trial as a Media Event," sponsored
by Rutgers Law School pursuant to a grant from the S.I.
Newhouse Foundation.

In 1991, the Governor of New Jersey appointed
Mr. Siegal as a Commissioner to the National
Conference of Commissioners on Uniform Laws
where he was a member of the Drafting
Committee of the Uniform Interstate Family
Support Act. Mr. Siegal has served on the
United States District Court's Lawyers
Advisory Committee, is a past President of
the Association of the Federal Bar of the
State of New Jersey and is currently a member
of the Advisory Board of the Association.

He is a member of the Bars of New Jersey,
New York, the United States Supreme Court,
the U.S. District Court of New Jersey, and
the U.S. District Court for the Southern and
Eastern Districts of New York.

Mr. Siegal concentrates his practice on
significant litigation matters in the federal
and state courts as well as significant family
law matters.
