Richard K. Coplon is primarily engaged in general commercial matters and litigation. He has appeared on a leading New Jersey Supreme Court case addressing shareholder rights and oppression in small business corporations. He was the attorney in an Appellate Division case that addressed the applicability of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act to the sale of securities. Mr. Coplon has appeared in class actions involving pension rights and antitrust matters. Mr. Coplon devotes a significant part of his practice to family law matters including custody, divorce, modification and enforcement of agreements. He also has experience in construction litigation.
Mr. Coplon is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. He currently serves on the District Ethics Committee for Essex County, New Jersey.
Mr. Coplon has been recognized as a New Jersey Super Lawyer for 2010 in Business Litigation.
